I've read where others are having major problems with that driver version using Cyberlink PowerDirector. Users are going back to earlier driver versions. It affects various Nvidia card models.

Yup!

That experience provided yet another example of why, when everything is working well, I am loathe to "update" or "upgrade" anything in my system--and never do so without first taking a "snapshot" with Rollback-RX.

I installed that driver last week. I don't have DAS5, but I just burned a disk using IMGBURN a few minutes ago and yesterday burned one using Encore CS6. No crashes or other problems so far.

Bob, what video card do you have? The same one the OP has?

I have a geforce gtx 470. The same NVIDIA driver handles both cards. I also have Windows 7 64-bit.

CORRECTION: Sorry, I confused myself. It was driver version 306.97 that I installed last week. I installed version 306.23 a month ago when it became available. I haven't had any problems with either one.

I also have a geforce gtx 470 working with Sony Vegas Pro 12 on Windows 7 64-bit and have used both drivers without any major difference compared to previous drivers. That said, Vegas Pro 12 has had issues with all of them :(
