Menus that overlap

Postby bernieraffe » Mon Jul 30, 2012 11:35 am

Like the previous poster, my menu buttons also overlap and I get a warning to that effect when I prepare the DVD.

As you can see from the screen shot, the actual buttons don't overlap, it appears to be the mask that is overlapping. Is there a way of shortening the mask, without affecting the size of the thumbnail and frame.

Thanks for any help.
Bernie

My guess is that your "Cameras & Settings" button overlaps with "Landscape tips" and possibly "Fireworks".
Each button as a boundary that if another button touches it will cause the error.
Doesn't mean that the menu won't work, just that there is a potential problem.
I think it is more of a warning than a error.

My thought is that if you shorten the "Cameras and Settings" text, the warning will go away but that is just a guess ;)

Thanks for the reply Chuck but it's not the text. I removed all of the text, and still got the overlap message.

In this screen shot notice how the bounding rectangle is much larger than the button, so I guess this encompasses the mask. You can see from the properties that the mask style is 'Image mask overlay', which I thought might help, but it didn't.

I'll burn a DVD and see if there's a problem.

I bet it won't be a problem but you must be right it must be the mask.
Can't you have the button without the mask? I thought Bob mentioned something about that in the other topic.

The same thing happens in Premiere Elements, not sure why. Glad everything turned out well :TU:
