newbie question (PE9 and Architect Studio)

Postby kirov 2 » Fri Jun 22, 2012 8:56 pm

Hi! I have edited some video (about 22 minutes' worth) in Premiere Elements 9, and I wish to export this to Sony DVD Architect Studio to create a nice-looking menu and then burn to DVD.

After editing in PE9, I worked with the Share Tab to render the work and save the file to my hard drive (apparently done successfully). When I found the file on my hard drive, it seems to have been saved with the RealPlayer logo. The video plays fine in both RealPlayer and in Windows Media Player. I then tried to import it into Sony DVD Architect, and I can't get this file into my workspace there. I tried via Make a DVD (I think that's what it's called), and I also tried from the Explorer tab in the lower-left hand corner of the screen to drag and drop it into the workspace. In PE9, it is so easy to just "Get Media" and start a project. Why is it so hard in Architect Studio? I have Steve Grisetti's book on DVD Studio, but I don't seem to know what I'm doing wrong.

For standard def output to use in DVDAS you want to use the MPEG2 format. In the Share tab click on Computer, then MPEG.
