Specific to Premiere Elements Version 9.
by bernieraffe » Mon Feb 28, 2011 11:08 am
In the Organise/Project tab, the little green 'used' tick is pretty useful to see what media have been used in the project.
But now that i've saved and closed my project and re-opened it, all of them have disappeared. The media is still there in the project, with all the other details, just no ticks!
Can I get them back?

I think this is one of the bugs Adobe left in version 9, Bernie. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sort of like the way the program sometimes saves rendered work areas and sometimes requires you to re-render them.
Kind of frustrating, I know.

Hi Steve,
Thanks, not the end of the world, I can live with it.
More or less finished my first real project now, and i'm really delighted with PRE9, the quality is brilliant. Just have to work out now the best way of presenting my work.
So thanks for all your help so far, also I would really have struggled without your book!
Cheers, Bernie

There is a way to get the green checkmarks back.
First save your project. (CTRL-S) Next move the CTI to the beginning of the timeline (HOME). Select everything on the timeline (CTRL-A). Cut (CTRL-X). Finally paste back (CTRL-V).

A bit drastic, but it works!
Thanks, Bernie

These ideas come to me while taking naps.
Actually, I get ideas from other people's workarounds.

Well it won't win any prizes and I don't think Steven Spielberg has anything to worry about, but here's my first attempt:- 1. Go to http://www.raffephotography.co.uk2. Click on 'location photo sessions' 3. Click on 'movie slideshow' (link on left) This is a new product i'm introducing for my family photo sessions (i'm a photographer), mainly still images but incorporating some short HD video. Cheers, Bernie

Hmmm, that's worrying, it's working for me. Can you tell me exactly at what stage you got the server error, if it was after clicking 'Movie Slideshow' link can you try again please, maybe refresh the final page if you get that far? Thanks. Bernie

Same error here in Firefox. In IE the page appears, but says I need to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player. I have the latest updates on the flash player so not sure why the message.
