Controlling How Media Files are displayedHere I am again, I am beginning to feel guilty but things just keep happening. In the Muvipix.com book on page 53 there is a section "Control how your media files are displayed" It refers to the lower left corner of the project media panel where you can switch the view from List View to Icon View by clicking on those two little blue icons. WELL, I don't have those showing in my panel. Can anyone tell me why? I have my project open and the organize tab clicked. I see the folder icons but no little blue icons.
Re: Controlling How Media Files are displayedEvery once in a while Adobe sneaks a feature change into the product and we miss it, zimmed. This is one of them.
In version 9, Adobe removed the option to display the clips in the Project Media panel as icons. The only view available now is the list view. Sorry for the confusion. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Controlling How Media Files are displayedThe way I understand it is, in version 9, the Project panel can have either Thumbnail view or Icon view. You need to right-click on a blank area of the Project panel, then from the pop-up menu select Thumbnails (Off | Small | Medium | Large ). When you select "Off" you get Icons.
Re: Controlling How Media Files are displayedYou never cease to amaze me, Robert! Thank you!

Re: Controlling How Media Files are displayedThanks Robert, I will check your suggestion out. Much appreciated.
Re: Controlling How Media Files are displayedI just tried the suggestion and it still doesn't give me true icon view.
In Icon View, the media is listed as little square thumbnails with no other details. This allowed you to drag the different icons around and arrange the order of how the clips are displayed -- in preparation for, say, outputting a slideshow. Re: Controlling How Media Files are displayedThanks for clearing that up, Steve. Now I remember THAT Icon view. Yes, gone.
