Re: Troubles Importing into PE 9 Using Canon HV30oops i mean the operating system. if i put a movie on my desktop. i can import it into PE9. i just cant figure out why i cant import from my cam. i hate being a total beginner. and without a book on PE9.
Re: Troubles Importing into PE 9 Using Canon HV30The operating system should be listed on About This Mac.
In any event, since you're here in town, drop me a private message or an e-mail at steve at muvipix. I'm going to be busy for the next day or so, but after that you should drop by or I should come by to look at your computer and we'll see if we can figure this out together, if you'd like. And, as for not having a book -- well, of course that's easily remedied! http://Muvipix.com/pe9.php HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro

Re: Troubles Importing into PE 9 Using Canon HV30Chuck Thank You. if my Cam is on Auto do i Need to put it to Manual to put it on DV Locked i always shoot in HD.
Re: Troubles Importing into PE 9 Using Canon HV30The DV Lock is only if you want to capture Standard Definition video, there really isn't any need to do that.
At one time Premiere Elements didn't do a very good job of down converting from HDV to SD video but the newer versions, 7 and 9, do a really good job. So I recommend capturing HDV and editing HDV, if you need to create a standard definition DVD then you can just let the program do the down converting for you. 1.
