"delete & close" issues

Postby The Director » Mon Nov 07, 2011 1:24 pm

Sometimes I find clips are separated in my timeline. Don't know why, but when I click the space and "delete & close" it works. There are other time for know known reasons there are big gaps between one part of the time line and the rest of my project. When I click delete & close I get a grey version and can't activate the event. So I have to manually move each clip to close the gap. This seems to all happen when I'm working with adding music tracks. Not sure if that's correct. One other question. When I first open my project I sometimes see a panel in the sceneline that has a multi- language list that says "media ? ( can't rember the other word). Thus seem s to be for jpegs only.

If there is video or audio on parallel tracks, you usually won't be able to Delete and Close Gap -- since it's only a gap on one track not in the entire movie.

But if the gap is across all tracks on the timeline, you will always find the option to do it.

Regarding your other question:

When I first open my project I sometimes see a panel in the sceneline that has a multi- language list that says "media ? ( can't rember the other word). Thus seem s to be for jpegs only.

This indicates that there was media in your project that has either been deleted or moved to another location and the program can't find it any longer.
