AI Denoiser & Generate Fill

The AI denoiser works fairly good in ACR. It will give your a separate .dng file keeping your edited raw file. In photoshop generate the sides of the canvas was hit or miss after many tries. It does give a good starting off point and finish off with the usual tools of clone and spot healing brush. The photo example is what the AI came up with.

The AI stuff is really pretty amazing in what it can do. I just keep thinking how it really saves all the old media from the dust bin. You can take the old shots and really freshen them uup.

Yes! I do prefer the denoiser in Nik collection. I haven't tried the AI on old photos to restore scratches yet.

I tried creating a creation from scratch. First a gradient background layer which you can't change later because the images have some of the background for blending. You would have to mask out first. Next I used the shape tool in the shape of a flower using a gradient fill colors that were complementary to the background. Control & select layer to get the marching ants and Generate command was flowers or small flowers or flower. Kept hitting generate until I found one I liked. Did this process a few times. You want the shape to be in the location of where you want the AI to create.

This creation was creating the gradient background layer. Selecting the area for the AI to create. Commands were 3d flower or 3d flowers or 3d flowers with leaves or 3d heart, 3d butterfly. Again keep hitting generate until one I liked and selecting area again for the next command. I added the text. The AI does not do creating text or at least I couldn't get it to work. I created the text with the bevel, shadow, etc. I tried to mask off some of the text to make it look it was embedded. The drop shadow made that not process not work. I merged all the AI layers in a new layer and placed that on top. Masked off that layer on the areas I wanted the text to show through.

And yet another AI testing. The top left photo is the original. The others were versions of AI Generate. I selected subject, invert, generate with no prompts.

It takes about 15 seconds to maybe 30 seconds to generate an image. It gives you 3 at a time.

I had a photo session for a friend's son. I asked him to sit on the log that was about 4 feet off the ground. He jumped up and started walking before I had time to adjust my settings. So I took a quick snap. It was way over exposed. I was able to salvage in ACR somewhat. The next problem was he was too far left. I expanded my canvas left and hit generate. The first try is the one I kept.

He requested some cliff composites. This is one of them. I masked him off and a little of the tree branch and generate with the prompt cliff edge. Next I extended the canvas on the bottom. Selected a little of the image and the empty space and generate with the prompt again of cliff edge. It took several times of hitting generate to get the one I wanted.
