Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photo
The 3yo said she wants to swim in the cocoa. When I did the wings a few years ago I made sure to stress to the middle grand girl that really did not have wings. She was around 2 and 2yo's are literal. The grands really enjoy the photos. My daughter is going to print the wall style blocks that you can switch around of all the miniature series for the kid's room. aka Cheryl

Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photoThose are simply wonderful Cheryl, always love seeing what you come up with. Your grandkids are very fortunate that you love doing stuff like this

Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photoMom your creativity is pretty amazing. I always kept a bucket of toys to try and do the same thing but never even as close to as good as your stuff. Have you ever thought of selling these as stock photos? They are great.
Your stuff is always a good realty check. Whenever I get full of myself and think.... "hey I am pretty good at this" I come across some of your work and it puts me back in my place and inspires me to try harder. I really enjoy both your work and Steve's work. Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photo
Thanks Chuck! The grands love the photo series with their imagination. More fun for them than regular stand, pose, smile photos. I try to think of fun things they can do. We had a bubble machine last summer and another time had them dance, twirl & jump. If I take photos at their house then I have the neighbor kids jumping in too which makes it more fun. aka Cheryl

Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photo
Thanks Sidd for you kind words. A bucket of toys would be inspirational. Did you see the movie "Marwen" ? When it came out I had friends texting me lol. Friends and daughter's friends have sent me photos of miniature scenes they have come across. The Marwen man had anxiety and I can relate with my battle of anxiety. I've had a few ideas that didn't quite pan out like a flower stem too big and I couldn't get the proportions just right. With your macro videos you would have some great scenes. aka Cheryl

Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photoThis one was shot in daughter's side yard. The ladder belonged to their father's grandfather so it was special for the photo. The background was woods at another location. The lab coat was my daughter's in college.

Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photo
Thanks Funny when we shot this all 3 wanted on the ladder. I took extra shots of each one on the ladder with my daughter spotting them. I think the hardest part was getting a good non glare shot of the paint tray. aka Cheryl

Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photoThat was cool. It looks so lifelike. I really liked the broom with the colors of the trees. This stuff is great. I could see a behind the scenes making of video. With Steve's voice over.... WOW....
I am the same way with posting the kids on the internet. It is kind of sad but the reality is to try to be safe. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photoYou could do these professionally Cheryl. I see ads for Mini Photo shoots on Facebook all the time. None of the ones I have seen are as clever or awesome as yours are

Re: Miniature Series Part 2 - UPDATE new photo
I took photos of various brushes and planned on swapping out the broom head with the brush, but ended up liking the broom better. If I every make a behind the scenes video Steve would be my first pick on narration! My daughter posts many photos on FB. I've red flagged a few to her about name tags or bus numbers on their student ID badges. She doesn't use her last name on FB nor does her husband. She doesn't want to get stalked from work and he is a cop. Some cop families have been harassed sadly. I take a ton of photos for my daughter and don't post on Flickr. aka Cheryl
