Dragging photo onto template

Postby Clayton » Thu Jun 06, 2013 2:47 pm

I have a 3x5 photo (several of them), and I have a 8 1/2 x 11 blank document. I am trying to drag the 3x5 photos onto the blank document and then arrange them for printing. I should be able to put 5 photos on the document. Problem is that when I drag one onto the document they become about 3/4 x 1 1/2 in size and I can't figure out how to resize them or why they become that size to begin with. I know this is basic stuff, but my brain must be foggy. What am I doing wrong.

Clayton, the most likely reason for your photo to shrink when you drag it to your new document might be a difference in dpi setting. Lets say your new 81/2 x 11 document is set to 300 dpi for printing, but you scanned your 3x5 photo at 150 dpi. It will only appear 1/2 of its size when you drag it to your document. So what you have to do is either set your document to 150 dpi or scann your picture at 300 dpi.
