removing a watermark from the bottom of Video

Postby Bubby Grub » Tue Nov 27, 2012 2:02 am

Hi All

Hope someone can help me, I am kind of very new to using video in CS6 Photoshop so please bear with me.
I have a video of about 7sec. and there is a mark on the bottom right hand side of the video.
Question how can I remove it, know how to do it on a pic but the frame by frame I am a little confused with.
This is just a small video of a roaring lion which I am using in a video for a friend's private use.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Bubby, I don't know if this would work. It is a free filter from Virtualdub:

Logoaway Krzysztof Wojdon
Created to remove logos from video sequence. Logo is a small sign usually put in one of the corners. Logos usually destroy quality of encoded video stream.

Hi

Thanks so much for the quick response, I have just downloaded it, and at the moment it is not accepting the video file.
Unfortunately it is getting late here and I have to go do something else, but will have another look in the morning.
With a bit of luck maybe able to work something out.

Thanks again

I've used an action to perform content aware fill on each frame. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

content aware fill

Hi
Yes that's what I originally tried in the first place, but the frames is the problem.
Thought it worked, but then found out it didn't.
Thanks for the thought

Is there just one layer? If not be sure you are applying the fill to the correct layer ;)
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Hi All

Yes I can get the content aware fill to work perfectly removing the watermark, but frame by frame
is the problem. Kind of just wondered if I was missing something.
Thanks again

I suspect that there is a reason why using the Motion effects (Effects>Motion: Position; Scale) in PrEl/PPro is not viable(?). Too much of the image lost(?).

Hi John

Yes in this case that idea worked out to be viable.

Trouble is with me when I come across something like this, I am the kind of girl, I hate things to beat me, and wanted to work it out the other way.
Just me. :-k

I think creating an action would save you time, could be applied to all frames rather quickly I would think.
What you are trying to do is similar to rotoscoping, lots of work.

I normally use Virtualdub and the filter recommended by gpecht. I also have "removelogonow"

http://www.removelogo.com/remove-logo-from-video/

it was given away free on "Giveawayoftheday" a few months back. Does quite a good job but not as flexible as Virtualdub.
