In case you missed it, Adobe has just released the free public beta of Photoshop CS6. The beta will include the features of both Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CS6 Extended and will last about 7 weeks. The production releases of the standard and extended editions will come shortly after.
There are some great new features and Adobe has reworked and improved older features as well. Rather than describe them here, take a look at the NAPP CS6 Learning Center videos or, for a more detailed look take the free two and a half hour FREE Lynda.com Photoshop-CS6 Beta Preview course.
One of the more interesting behind the scenes changes is the inclusion of the Mercury Graphics Engine. This gives you GPU accellerated tools such as Liquify, Puppet Warp, Crop, and video. You can now do basic video editing directly in Photoshop. It won't replace Premiere Elements or Pro, but it does have some interesting capabilities.
