Windows Life Movie Maker update.

Postby Gerlinde » Fri Oct 22, 2010 12:36 am

Just an FYI for Windows 7 users, there has been an update to Windows Movie Maker, in case you missed it. ::C

I was pretty disappointed with Movie Maker after switching to Windows 7, since I found it even more basic as previous versions. But with the recent update, it regained some more features worth checking out.

Unfortunately, the old film effect is still missing. :(

Thanks for the update, Gerlinde! I'll check it out.

I'm really surprised there's no Old Film effect. The original MovieMaker for XP had it!

I know this thread is a bit dated but thought I'd comment.

When I began my first movie project (Vietnam documentary/experience) I tried using Movie Maker.
Even in my limited experience I found the program finicky and lacking in stability.
It seemed like a (now) dated, unfinished and ignored program within the XP OS.
I'm glad I saw the light and got Sony. (Movie Maker Platinum 9.0b)
Maybe it's better in Win7 for those just starting on the movie making path.

That's my take on it....carry on.
