file format for iPadsI've been using flv format for displaying videos on my Website, but of course my iPad friends can't access that format. So I switched to H.264 (MP4), which online research suggests is good for iPads. I'm using a ~600 x 400 size video .. and two iPad friends still can't access the file (but my PC friends can). What else do I need to know?

Re: file format for iPadsYes, I found that same thing, Chuck .. which is why I'm wondering why my file isn't working!

Re: file format for iPadsHave you compared the settings with your export settings?
The files are very particular about audio settings (ACC-LC up to 160kbps 48khz stereo), and the profile (Level 3.1, Simple). Could also be that you need a standard frame size like 640 x 480 rather than 600 x 400. 1. Re: file format for iPadsMay I assume 29.97 is close enough to 30 fps?
I have profile level 3.1 .. but I can't find any settings referencing 'simple.' Any idea what that's telling me? I shall try a standard frame size and send it off for testing again. (I used the 600 width size to keep the bit rate high quality for my slow DSL users that start freezing up above about 1Mbps.) Re: file format for iPadsFor anyone looking for follow-up to my issue of iPaders not being able to view H.264/MP4 videos on my Website ..
I was using JW Player Version 4 to play the videos on my Website. When I switched to the Version 5 player everything fell into place and my iPad buddies could suddenly view the MP4 videos I was posting.
