I can found dozens of help files and tutorials for adobe after effects but really do not know what adobe after effects is used for? The idea is that adobe has several applications and I do not know what is the purpose or the use of many of them. I think if someone may help me that would be awesome as when you know the purpose of any thing that will help you fill your needs. Sorry if it is a stupid question, but really this is the situation here.

After Effects is used for visual effects compositing and creation of motion graphics. See this overview at Lynda.coma; http://www.lynda.com/home/Player.aspx?lpk4=64561. While you could do basic editing in After Effects, it's not designed to be an editior. You are much better off using Premiere Pro or some other NLE to do editing on a large or complex movie. Likewise, an editor like Premiere Pro can do basic special effects, animation, and compositing, but it's not designed for elaborate or complex work. After Effects has much more capable specialized tools for that.

Most of the motion backgrounds in our product section at Muvipix are made using After Effects. Also, these backgrounds are created using After Effects http://www.virtual-studio-set.com/index ... -templatesThere is a lot more that can be done with it but those are some of the most common uses. After Effects is used in a lot of motion pictures for special effects as well.

But how to differentiate in between what is for Premiere and what is for After Effects? As almost all of them for Premiere.

I think Chuck confused you. He was just using that site for examples of things that could be made using After Effects. For the most part, the products that site is selling were created using After Effects and rendered to video. Since they are just video clips, they can be used in any video editing application. You don't need After Effects to use them.
Only the section of that site for After Effects Templates requires After Effects. The templates there are After Effects Projects that you can open, insert your own material, and render to video. Once rendered to video, you can use the clips you create in your Premiere projects.

But what about the templates here at our website MuviPIX? is it the same thing?
As I can found many links for previews in the products page here at MuviPIX.
Please advise and sorry if it is a repeated question.

Thanks for the clarification Bob The motion backgrounds here were created with After Effects for use in video editing programs like Premiere and Final Cut. The complex backgrounds and motion cannot be created using Premiere so they are created in After Effects then rendered out to video with transparent background to be used in a video or movie, hope that helps.
