We can't help you without more information.

Where is the text coming from? Are you creating it in AE? Or, are you creating it in Photoshop (if so, are you leaving the text as an editable text layer or rastering, are there any layer styles applied, are you saving as a PSD)? Some other Program?

What type of changes are you wanting to make in AE? Change the text? Change color or font? Animate? Something else?

the Editing is Being Done in AE. i can't find where the fonts are located like they are in Photoshop Elements.

Fonts and text attributes are set in the Character panel. It sounds like you do not have that visable. Choose Window > Workspace > Text to open the Character panel or use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+6.

should be Command + 6 on a MAC, Control + 6 on a PC.

It's just two buttons: Command AND 6

Did you look at the link to the keyboard shortcuts for AE?

All of the keyboard shortcuts will have + between the keys when they are to be pressed at the same time,
this does not refer to the "+ key". To my knowledge the actual '+' key is never used as it is necessary to hold the shift key
to actually use it. In cases where that would be used as a shortcut it would be referenced as the = key :)

i'm glad they are too. for me i have to import movies into PRE9 from my Desk Top. this is the only way that i can do it.
