Examples of After Effects Swing Expression or pendulum

Found the expression at Dan Ebberts Expression lab:
http://www.motionscript.com/expressions ... dulum.html

On the 2nd example used varying amplitude & parenting
Swing: 60 amplitude
Test: 80
Example: 100

For the 3rd example, the books are in their own PreComp since the expression starts at 0 in the timeline. Brought the PreComps into the Main Comp and on the first frame Time Remap. Lengthened the Comp to the left so the books would be in view before the animation. Can add keyframes too. Wondering if there is an easier way and maybe set up master controls?

What fun, Cheryl! I sure wish I could spend a couple of days with you learning these tricks!

Even when you demonstrate tools I know about, you find cool ways to make them work!

Thanks Steve. Expressions are powerful and I am learning a little at a time. Hope you don't mind that I used your books :)

Wow .. that's neat! Looks like lots of fun stuff in AE. If I ever get PRE under control, I might take a look in that direction.

Seriously, you should consider writing one. Or maybe co-writing one with Steve... ;)

Jayell, if you go the AE route you will be amazed with the program.

And Peru, there are a ton of tuts on AE. However, a book of how to's for specific effects for the casual user may be something Steve should consider. Something you can dive right into after the Apprentice book.
