Preview Window Problem

I am new to the site, but I am trying to resolve a problem with Premiere Elements 8. This may have been answered elsewhere. If so, please direct me to the answer.

I am unable to get the preview window to play. The video is rendered and all other functions seems to work. It just won't play.

I am running a Intel i7 Processor with Windows 7; 32-bit; 4gb Ram; Nvida Quadro FX - 3800 Grahics Card with the latest drivers. This machine is built for video editing.

I have asked Adobe for a solution but the response from Adobe was less than helpful.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Mike, Welcome to Muvipix

I hate to ask but, are you sure you have the latest drivers for your nVidia card?

Next thought is that you may need to change a setting.
What are your settings under Edit/Project Settings/General/Playback Settings?

Are you working with HDV, AVCHD or Standard Definition video?

I'm sure we can help you if we can get a little more information
