You can't lower the volume for all of the clips at once with the Audio Mixer. As I say in the tutorials, the Audio Mixer actually works better as audio meters than as an actual mixer.

If you switch over to Sceneline mode and click to the left of the track header (where the names of each track appears, on the left) you should see an audio slider. As Chuck says, you can use this to reduce the audio of your entire track at once.

But, again, don't trust what you hear. Watch the meters in the Audio Mixer to see if your sound levels are properly mixed.

The movie certainly sounds different on my computer versus our home theater system. However, my 3 yr old has been playing with the buttons on the latter so am not sure that I can trust how it sounds, either. Thank you for the advice on sound levels as I had them too high. I went thru the entire project and adjusted the sound levels on both audio and soundtrack manually, clip by clip, on the timeline view. It was tedious because it is hard to accurately set that level by adjusting vertically within such a small vertical space, however I didn't see any way to expand (vertically) that part of the track to do a better job of it. Is there a better way to do it? Anyway, I am done! I took your advice from another thread and burned to a folder, and used ImgBurn to burn multiple copies for the team members. That worked really well. I am now ready to tackle the 1st grader's team movie....

I wish I would have read your posts earlier about the slider bar on the left. I didn't see it, and I guess I don't remember it from the tutorials either but maybe I missed one. This will certainly make my next project much easier. Thanks to both of you for the advice!
