Playback problem

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 8.

Playback problem

Postby Koscieliska » Sat Feb 27, 2010 7:10 am

I have a playback problem with a particular Project (the rest of my projects works OK). I can not play it. When I am opening this project, there is a message saying "Audio Filter Missing:Internal volume stereo".

Could someone please tell me how to fix it.

What are the sources of the audio and video clips in this project?

Is your video anything other than DV-AVIs and your audio anything other than WAVs or MP3s?

Here are the settings:

1. Project's Preset: PAL-AVCHD-Full HD 1080i 25.5.1 channel (I use this Preset to all my projects).

2. Sources of audio:

- Own narration using Audio Tool

- Music previously copied to my hard disc (mp3 and wav.)

- H2 ZOOM Handy Recorder (sound recorded as wav. 96kHz/24bit). This is my new toy and I suspect that this may be the problem. The recorder has several other wav and mp3 modes.

3. Source of video: AVCHD files imported from SONY HDR-XR200 camera to my hard disc.

Seems like in the past I tried a high sampling rate and had problems. The sampling rate of 96kHz for WAV is probably too high for Premiere Elements. You might try lowering it to 48kHz/16 bit.

I am pretty sure that it has to be 48khz/16 bit, good all RJ.

Thanks for your comments. I will change recording mode to 48mHz/16 bits in the future. But it does not solve the current problem. Even if I delete audio in the current project,it still does not work. I still can not Playback it and when opening it there still is a message "Audio Filter missing: Internal Volume Stereo". How do I correct it?

I'm pretty sure that Zoom recorder clip is at the source of your problems.

Do a Save As to save a copy of your project, then delete all of the Zoom video clips from your Project media panel. (When you do, they'll also be deleted from your timeline.) Then do a Save, close it and re-open it.

If removing this video fixes the problem, then you know that video won't work in Premiere Elements without being converted to something more compatible.
