Pre8 and HD

Postby jerrymac50 » Wed Sep 23, 2009 10:10 pm

I'm currently using Pe7. I can"t believe after reading all the data out about Pre8 no mention about HD I'm so disappointed. Ive got gigs of hd taped, fast Quad core, a 64 bit system blue ray burner, And a program that won"t burn a full HD disk. No mentio even about a workaround.

Hi Jerry,
Nothing about burning HD BluRay changed between version 7 and 8.
Version 8 still has the same HDV process as version 7 did however it is supposed to handle AVCHD files much better.

It could well be the program is having problems with that 64-bit burner. It is, after all, a 32-bit program and it has some interfacing problems with 64-bit drivers.

But, as Chuck said, the engine for working with HDV and AVCHD has not changed that much in version 8. Adobe does claim, however, that it does a better job of working with various AVCHD audio formats.
