OK, now I'm confussed. Can we get a rehash of who picked what and who's turn it is so I have it straight in my head?

Beth -- I gotta say, I was completly blown away with both your apple picking movies. The transitions and effects you did were just amazing. I've been watching them over and over trying to duplicate some of the things you did, but just can't get them right. We need a full "How To..." tutorial on your videos. The way you did the opening for the slideshow from .07 to .14 was crafty and creative. One of my favorites was the apple transition at .49 secs and the whole tic-tac-toe effect. Congradulations on winning, you deserve it! I'm currently making the feature-length film of my Washington DC trip. If you don't mind i'm going to steal a few of your tricks

Anim8 - How on earth did you do your entire commercial video? Was that done with Premiere Elements or did you use another program? I just have no clue on how to do that.

Everyone did a really good job! The thing I enjoyed most about the contest was seeing all the great work and getting ideas from everone.

Thanks Beth! Are you sure you want to offer the help?....I know I will have a ton of questions. :) Looking forward to your how to on the apple picking video too, great stuff.

I really like to work with stop motion, just got sidetracked by everyone here learning slideshow & editing tricks.

Hi Beth:

Thanks as always for being so kind. I was talking about the effect in your video movie I believe at .58. I love it all. Anytime you have to spare whenever for some info would be great!

I promise when I get a chance to post some of the techniques, however I must say many of the ones you are refering to require nested sequences (Pro feature). FOr instance, the grid is done by creating the movement in a one sequence each for the each of the nine squares. Then they are all placed in a new sequence where each is scaled down and moved to a fixed position.

Some of the other stuff can be done in Elements. I'll need to go back and relook at the files to create the step-by-steps. I promise to do it soon.
Happy Editing,

Beth

I hear lots of people talking about Adobe Pro. Does it have alot to offer? Is it worth it to buy and is it difficult to learn? I can't really find the price range? Anyone have an idea on that? Thanks!

I made the switch to PProCS3 and found it to be somewhat of a learning curve but not too bad. There are some good sites that explain how to use it. Now that I am comfortable with it I really enjoy using it.

I have to say, YES!!! :)

I enjoy working in Pro CS3 and After Effects CS3 Professional.
After effects does has a very steep learning curve but it can do some really interesting effects and then some.

I think there are more plugins available for the Pro apps although, elements is catching up :)
If you do go for the Pro apps then budget for some books, and other dvds to guide you through things, but well worth it.

Once again, very well done to everyone especially, the winners!
Very well handled, Chuck, Steve and Ron!
