Thanks Sidd, Ron, and Cheryl.

I'll post back with a suggested topic soon.

How about extending the allowable time of the video beyond one minute, as a lot of the videos posted here are between three and five minutes? Perhaps we would have more entries if the length of the videos were more flexible? Some of the best videos I've seen here were not part of a contest.

Perhaps a submission "deadline" around the end of March?
It might be nice if there could be a way that the videos could be submitted, but not yet available for viewing, until after the deadline date. In this way, all videos would be available at one time. I know it was done this way in previous contests here.

Congratulations, Peru!!! :yh:

I like your ideas about all being viewable at one time. And perhaps 3 minute limit?

============

Thank you to whomever voted for my video. It is the first time I've felt like I "made a movie." Finding a willing actor, establishing the parameters of the camera/tripod viewing angle and keeping all the action within that realm, and working out a script for action, including setting up the final pose in advance for high def still DSLR shots was fun and made me think instead of just pointing and shooting, hoping I would get something worthwhile.

I think the goal should be inclusiveness so I would just have the entry being a video regardless of length (or width :))

I have three hours of home movies that I transferred from VHS. Is that too long? :fg:

Seriously, what does everybody else think about the time limit if there should be one?

I agree about the free choice about length: in my case it is the song that rules.

I agree about all posting the video after the deadline too, it will be a greater emotion and a strongly expected evening at home

Ehm... what about the new subject, Peru :director2: ?

OK. How about:

Subject: Competition
Length: Unrestricted, but about three minutes is suggested
Submission Deadline: March 31, 2015

When the deadline approaches, hopefully we can have something set up so that all videos will be available at the same time instead of as they are uploaded.

If this is agreeable, I will announce it in a new thread.

Love the idea Bob and I do recommend a limit on the length, three minutes or less is reasonable don't you think?

I waited till the deadline passed then created a new thread with links to all the videos so that they would be in a central location.
