LUCE plugin location

Postby grobie » Sun Oct 30, 2011 7:38 am

I've downloaded the Luce plugin (luce.aex). What folder do I put it in so that it shows up in PRE10?

Thanks.

Hi Grobie,
Not sure that the plugin will work in version 10 but my guess would be this folder for Windows XP
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 10\Plug-ins\en_US
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Just a link to the original thread about Luce. http://muvipix.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=476&f=11

The luce plugin is a 32-bit plugin. It will not work in the 64-bit version of Premiere Elements 10.

The LUCE plugin doesn't work in 32-bit Premeire Elements 9, either.

Thanks for the responses. Any suggestions for an inexpensive alternative that can create the light ray effects?

You can get something similar using the effects that come with Premiere Elements.

The project I am in is a 1080i project, so some of the "Center" settings below are based on that project preset.

Duplicate the title and arrange so one title is above the other on an adjacent track.

Add the following effects to the title on the upper track.
1. Alpha Glow
2. Shear Energy
3. Zoom Blur

The settings for Alpha Glow
Glow: 25; Brightness: 76

The settings for Shear Energy
HShear: 100
VShear: 91
Angle: 0
Center: 691.2, 496.8 (or whatever the default settings).
Blend: 50.50

The settings for Zoom Blur
Zoom: 55.39
Blend: 100.00
Center: 720.0, 540.0 (or whatever the default settings)

That's the best I can do in this short time.
