Hi
Someone I know uploads videos to Youtube but they have the jagged lines you often get with interlaced material. He is using Premier Elements version 1 but I only have 7 so I cant easily look at his available output options. Is there an output setting that will generate a progressive format that he can upload to Youtube. I would use the HD720p setting from within version 7 but he does not seem to have that option.

No 720p in PE1. 
He could export as WMV... first he needs to right click on the clip in the timeline and select "Field Order"... then "Always Deinterlace". This should export a progessive WMV file.
