text styles disappeared

help

I somehow managed to make the text styles (the examples) disappear

I tried restoring the edit workspace and reinstalling elements as a repair

any ideas?

maybe I insulted them would an apology work? :-D

I tried both things and neither worked

should I try uninstalling? :evil: or are the darker forces working here

Don't worry about not checking the FAQs, that's what we are here for.

There are a couple of things you can try.

Go to Edit/Preferences/Titler and make sure you have letters entered in the box. Just needs to be one upper case and one lower case like Aa.

If that doesn't fix it then try a repair install, from Add Remove Programs in Control Panel.

Just checked on a couple other things at the Adobe forum.

You can also fix the problem by starting Premiere Elements while holding down the Left Ctrl and Shift keys, that will clear the Cache and Preferences.

also, if your Premiere Elements Styles folder is not under My Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements 3.o/Styles this could also be a problem. Premiere Elements especially doesn't like any of its parts installed on a network drive.

aleady checked the titler preferences and there are two letters

tried repair thru add/remove and it still doesnt come up when i open PE3

just got your new post and i will try that
