Audio Transition to No Sound (0db)...

I have a video clip with no sound and I'm adding music to it.

The audio clip is longer than the video clip.

If I clip the audio to match the length of the video, how can I transition the audio to fade to no sound at the end.

Is there a audio effect that will do this automagically, or do I need to go to preset and do it manually.

I looked around at the audio transitions available, but nothing jumped out as a solution after experimenting a little.

I'm using PE4...

You can either do a manual fade of the audio with keyframes or I prefer to use the constant gain feature (in audio transitions) for a nice fading of the sound. trim the audio to where you want it to end and add the transition and then legthen until it sounds about right.

Beth, thanx I got it.

Lengthening the Constant Gain transition at the end of the audio clip was the ticket.

I just upgraded from PE1 to PE4 so I'm still trying to get a handle on the new interface and features.

Over the last week or so I've started to become somewhat more comfortable with the vast pssibilities, to the point where I'm starting to get a little dangerious...

I'm also starting to wear out the undo keystrokes on my keyboard...

You can also split the clip where you want it to end, right click on the clip and select, Fade/out audio.

Chuck, this was a much easier way to get there, rather then playing with the constant gain.

It has been added to my 'bag of tricks'...
