Request for Adobe: Shuttle on Preview!

Postby BMargol » Thu Oct 25, 2007 10:32 am

Currently, you can shuttle in a movie (i.e. your timeline) on your Monitor window, but you can not shuttle in the preview window (as far as I can see!) This would be very helpful in fine tuning your in's and out's. Right now, the best you can do is either fast forward or reverse at regular or high speed, advance frame by frame, or, by using the slider scrub over your clip at any rate, but you get choppy digital audio, as opposed to the smooth "slow motion" scrubbing you get by using the shuttle bar on the Monitor window.

Please let's lobby Adobe to add this feature!

Yes, you can, but it doesn't give you smooth "analog-ish" sounding audio like the shuttle control does. It only gives you the same choppy digital audio that moving the slider does...!

Ahhhhh, you want the 'Mickey Mouse' effect :)
Let's pose the question to Mike on the Adobe forum :)

Edit: I posted the question in his latest thread at Adobe, don't know if he will respond or not though.

There are also the J-K-L and Shift combinations.

Thanks RJ! Never knew about those functions. That's a bit closer. A slider would still be better and more intuitive though.
