Best format for viewing movie

Postby Helen » Wed Oct 26, 2011 7:46 am

Hi

I have just finished making a 5 1/2 minute movie that I was planning on putting on a dvd, however I was asked if I could put it on a usb instead. I was wondering what format would give me the best quality, would it be wmv? It will be shown on a large screen at school and run through a laptop. Would it be easier just to use a dvd to get the good quality?

Thanks

.wmv should be fine. Sorry, I'm not a PrEl user so I don't know what other format options exist in PrElv4. Maybe someone else will chip in(?).

If the laptop has software to play a DVD that would work just fine, however it must have the proper software to play a DVD. If this is a Windows Laptop then WMV will be fine as a second option played with Windows Media Player. Be sure to use a 2 pass variable setting and the bit rate should be min 5 max 8 for good quality.
