javascript error opening Steve's book preview

i tried to preview Steve's "Creating slideshows with Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements" in the "Steve's Tips" section. i got an error regarding "bookload.js" these are the details...

is it my recently restored/optimized machine or is there something wrong with this object on the site? i wouldn't be surprised if it's my machine since it seems to be missing adobe reader as well.
