Membership products on CD?

Postby Cinde » Fri Mar 21, 2008 1:59 am

Chuck, are there any plans to make the products in the Membership Subscription area available for purchase on a CD? img0374

Although I can download everything free through my Membership Subscription, I can think of many reasons why I would purchase the first one, and a new one each year in the future…

1. Due to a slow dsl connection, I downloaded very few during the first year
2. I would like to have them ALL (in one place)
3. I wouldn’t have to worry about “incomplete or corrupted” downloads
4. I would have a back up in the event of a computer crash
5. Having a CD would save space on my Hard Drive
6. I could install only those things I want at any given time
7. Having a CD would be beneficial because I have Elements on 2 computers
8. Having a CD would be beneficial for future computers
9. I wouldn’t have to keep up with what I missed in the previous year’s offering
10. Because I'm a download junkie who can't keep up with where I put things. img0413

I also think they would make a good prizes for contests, 2nd anniversary give aways… etc

Ok, I’ll stop there and ask others to add their comments. img0458

Ron, Chuck and I have been discussing this for a while, Cinde. And it's certainly in our future.

Right now we're still juggling a few other personal and business issues -- but it's definitely on the docket.

Maybe one of the toughest things is figuring out how to package what. Do we package sets of tutorial, tips and media as "beginner," "intermediate", "pro", or do we package according to theme -- "keyframing", "slideshows," etc.?

Hmm.
