DVD template ideas?

Postby Steve Grisetti » Wed Dec 19, 2012 12:08 pm

Hi, folks--

We here at Muvipix Central are hard at work on a new batch of material for a big winter release.

We'd like to add some Premiere Elements Movie Menu templates to the mix.

Anybody have any suggestions for themes or disc menu subjects?

I no longer use Elements, but here are my suggestions:

Sports themes, maybe even some of the less popular school sports, such as swimming, volleyball, bowling.
Maybe some graduation themes, ranging from preschool through college.
Sweet 16.

Great ideas, Bob! I wish I had time to do them all.

Which sport would you like to see most?

And I love the idea of a Sweet 16 or grade school graduation theme too.

How about pets? Dogs in particular, but I know others might appreciate a cat theme.

Steve,

Can I support the football template but, rugby football!! A minority sport in the US, maybe, but the seven-a-side version will be seen in the Olympics in Rio for the first time.

The Rugby World Cup is in England in 2014, see http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/

More great ideas! Thanks!

Dave, do you think there's a general dog theme I could employ -- or do you think the menu would need to be specific to each user's breed? I guess I could create a general dog menu and users could swap in a custom background image.

Since my daughter swims, I am biased for that (although I use DVDAS rather than Elements to author).

And I love the idea of a Sweet 16 or grade school graduation theme too.

I think that the Sweet 16 and graduation themes would benefit more people than the sports themes.

You mean there are breeds other than Golden Retrievers? :fg:

Nah, I think a general dog theme would work fine. Maybe you could use items commonly associated with dogs such as paw prints, dog dishes, tennis balls or other toys, collars/leads, bone-shaped treats, etc.

Since our ranch deals with horses, how about a horse theme?

Dave, have you checked out the existing Dog and Cat templates in the Pets category of version 11?

Well I have now! I just went back and checked. It wasn't in V7, but it was in V9 & V10. That's about the time I got serious using DVDAS and I guess i missed this one. Well at least it must have been a pretty good idea. ;) Thanks for the heads-up Steve. Never mind.

Great suggestions, guys! We'll be releasing a new batch of templates for Premiere Elements 11, based on your suggestions, with our next subscriber distribution.

Thanks again for helping inspire us with your ideas!
