Audio on timelineoften when I am putting a movie together and have cut scenes out, pieces of the audio and video will go off on their own, and is very difficult to tighten everything up. Is there a shortcut?
Re: Audio on timelineIf I understand what you're saying, you're talking about separate audio clips, right? Not audio that was initially part of a video clip.
Most likely you are seeing the results of timeline rippling, as we describe in our books. By default, the other clips on your timeline will change position to accommodate new clips that you are adding or clips that you are removing. There are two ways to override rippling: 1) When you are adding clips, hold down the Ctrl key. 2) When you are removing clips from your timeline, rather than deleting the clip, right-click on it and select Clear. This will remove the clip without affecting the positions of any other clips on the timeline. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
