Project Settings

Postby twootton » Sun Feb 28, 2010 10:41 am

What would be a good starting point settings wise before beginning a project? I have a Cannon HG10 hd camera and my pc specs are: 6 gigs of RAM, and Intel i7 processor @ 920@2.67Ghz, Radeon HD 4670 video card. I am trying to create home videos of our children and events. I have just recently made a DVD only to find clips in it freezing or stuttering in it. Does anyone know if this correlates to the projects settings?

HELP PLEASE!!!!! [-o<

Hi, Twootton. Welcome to Muvipix!

Your Canon camcorder shoots in AVCHD video, so that is the project preset you will want to use. You should check your specs to see if the camcorder is recording in stereo or 5.1 audio, because you will want to assure you use the correct audio settings also.

Information on setting up a project are on the first lesson of our Basic Training tutorial series -- a great way to get to know the program.
