Video formats in Share

Postby Jayell » Sun Nov 22, 2009 3:52 pm

I'm playing around a little in Flickr. Their accepted video formats are wmv, mov, and mpg (which they of course convert to Flash). Is any one of those going to provide better quality results? And do I just pick the largest file size that keeps me within their limits?

WMV will get you the best quality for the size, MPG will be huge, MOV would be the next best thing.
MOV will generally be a little bigger than WMV for the same quality, at least in my experience.
Give WMV a try and see how that works for you :)

That's what I used .. and it looked fine. Just wondered if another option would have worked better. Thanks, Chuck.

MOV might work better but you would have to test the different settings and bitrates.
I always try WMV first and if that looks good at least it was easy, the others require more work :)
