Disc Menu DownloadsIs there somewhere that I can buy new disc menus? I am making a video for my school about a rodeo day we had, and nothing seems applicable. The info is probably in here, but I can't find it.

Re: Disc Menu DownloadsHi Kathy, Welcome to Muvipix
There are lots of tools and DVD menus here to help you, check out the product section If you have Photoshop Elements you can modify the existing templates also, and there is a tutorial on how to do that as well. Some require a subscription, which starts at $60 for 3 months or $90 for a full year access to all the products. Some are also free in our complimentary section http://muvipix.com/products.php?subcat_id=47 (Subscription) http://muvipix.com/products.php?subcat_id=37 (Complimentary) There are also lots of motion backgrounds that you can add to your projects, royalty free music and lots of tutorials, tips, tricks and articles Dell Precision 490; 2 x Xeon 3.0 Dual Core Processors, 4gb of 533mhz DDR2 RAM, ATI Stealth 512mb Video, X-Fi ExtremeMusic Sound Card, 2 x 250gb SATA II , 1 x 750gb SATA II

Re: Disc Menu DownloadsThanks, Chuck! I think I figured it out. Can we add music to disc menus? I know I can in other programs, but I'm not seeing the option in PE 7.

Re: Disc Menu DownloadsOops! I just figured it out. Sorry, Chuck!
Re: Disc Menu DownloadsNo problem Kathy, glad you got it figured out
If you have any questions at all just ask. There is lots of help here from people that remember what it's like trying to learn this software. Re: Disc Menu DownloadsWell now it is telling me the memory error message and is freezing when I'm 81% done with the DVD. I just got a brand new computer, and it shouldn't be doing this.

Re: Disc Menu DownloadsCan you tell us more about what you're using for your source video? What kind of camcorder did it come from and how did you get it into your computer?
Also, how much free, defragmented space is left on your hard drive, how much RAM do you have and what operating system are you using? 2.8 ghz Pentium 4 HT, 4 gigs RAM, 128 mb ATI graphics card, 2 160 gig SATA drives + 1 500 gig SATA (all internal)
Re: Disc Menu DownloadsThanks. My video is coming from a flip video camera in mp4 format. My computer says that it is
Intel Core2 Duo CPU P9600 @ 2.53GHz 2.53 GHz, 3.45 GB of RAM Physical Address Extension My movie is about 14 minutes long. I don't know if I need to adjust some settings or what. I am an elementary school principal, and our tech director built me this thing from Dell (who we have a contract with!). I can't believe I am having memory problems because this is the very first project I have done on this laptop so it shouldn't have all sorts of trash scattered about. It says I have 201GB and 86% free space with an NFTS file system. I have spent so much time on this that I really just don't want to start over, but I need it by Wednesday morning for a principals' meeting! Windows MovieMaker is so boring and such poor quality. Thanks for your time. I honestly truly appreciate it! Kathy
Re: Disc Menu Downloadsand I used a usb port to get the video in the computer straight from the Flip Camera.
I'm using Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3.
Re: Disc Menu DownloadsAh! That's it, Kathy! It's Flip video -- which unfortunately uses a proprietary codec that often stops Premiere Elements cold!
The best solution is to convert your Flip video to a DV-AVI before you bring it into Premiere Elements. Prism is a free video converter that should do it. MPEG Streamclip will also do it while retaining the 16:9 aspect ratio. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/437535?tstart=0 2.8 ghz Pentium 4 HT, 4 gigs RAM, 128 mb ATI graphics card, 2 160 gig SATA drives + 1 500 gig SATA (all internal)
Re: Disc Menu DownloadsDarn it! I have the whole movie totally finished. Should I convert each video clip in my movie so I don't have to do it all over again?
Oh, this ticks me off. I got this computer JUST for making movies and doing the website. Thanks so much! I will watch the tutorial! Kathy
Re: Disc Menu DownloadsOkay, Steve. I am converting the files as I type. I went into the folder of the video to convert it, but it probably won't work. I will probably have to start from scratch. At least I know what I'm doing now, thanks to you! Well, I kinda know what I'm doing!
My students LOVE to watch movies of themselves on the announcements, and Power Point is just so lame for faculty meetings.
Re: Disc Menu DownloadsSteve!!! I think you're my new hero! It worked!!!
Re: Disc Menu DownloadsIf only I could take sole credit for discovering that.
No matter. The important thing is -- YOU FOUND A SOLUTION ON MUVIPIX! Tell your friends! 2.8 ghz Pentium 4 HT, 4 gigs RAM, 128 mb ATI graphics card, 2 160 gig SATA drives + 1 500 gig SATA (all internal)
Re: Disc Menu DownloadsI have one presentable video burned to disc. I just added music and tweaked it a bit, and it's being slow again, but I don't have to stress now. I'm going to look at your advice for burning taking a long time and hanging up. Is it possible to compress audio files?
