Change axis of rotation 3D tiltHow can you change the horizontal axis of rotation of the 3D effect tilt property from the center of the screen to the top edge of the screen (kind of like how you would flip over a calendar)?
Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tiltI know this can be done in After Effects, not sure about Premiere.

Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tiltThanks Chuck. I couldn't see a setting to change it.
I'm doing a vertical page turn and need to flip it over, but it includes a title as well as an image. The project was not going to have a page turn when I conceived it, so I did not prepare the assets to allow for that. I was thinking, though, that I could do a freeze frame (I guess that is the Premiere Elements term) and then prepare the image for a page turn.
Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tiltHave you seen the Page Turn tutorial that I did?
I haven't done the same thing in Pro so not sure what is similar as far as the effects go. In Premiere Elements it is Basic 3D. Should be able to turn the title and the image at the same time but adding the title to the image would be a lot easier. 1. Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tilt
Yes, it's 3D, and yes, I've seen them all, thanks (very good tutorials). I guess that the freeze frame option would essentially be the same as adding the title to the image.
Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tiltIf you add the title to the image then you only have to turn the image rather than having to turn both the title and the image. Or is that what you are saying, that you will then use the freeze frame for the page turn?
Is 3D tilt effect the same as Basic 3D? I can't check because I don't have Pro on my work computer. 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tilt
If I had anticipated the page turn I would have prepared the assets differently.
Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tilt
I thought you would have Peru. Give the freeze frame idea a shot and see how it works. 1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tiltI discovered that I was making things more complicated than necessary by trying to keyframe it from scratch. The "swing out" transition can be easily modified to do a flip over page turn, and much better than I was able to do it manually.
Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tiltSometimes the transitions are all we need, glad you got it working the way you wanted

Re: Change axis of rotation 3D tiltI forgot to mention that you can also add "thickness" to the page by adding an edge and coloring it.
