Does Adobe Media Exporter export better than Pro?

Postby Matthew Max » Fri Jun 27, 2014 8:55 am

Should I expect a better result when exporting from AME, rather than in Pro? My AME crashed a little while ago and will not restart, even after rebooting, so I exported from Pro.

I'll reinstall AME.

I have found no visible difference.
You can try disabling CUDA in Premiere Pro and then export via AME by choosing "Queue" instead of "Export" to see if that will allow AME to open.

That's a very interesting answer, Peru. Thank you. Very helpful.

Peru, it turned out that my problem was more complex. I had to call Adobe support twice. They took control of my computer and made installations, followed by what I would almost call reprogramming, and now everything seems to be fine.

But since you said, "I have found no visible difference" in rendering in AME or inside the Pro editor, that satisfies a big question I've had. Sometimes I want to stay inside Pro. Thank you again.
