Can I control the frame used to display a video

Postby Jayell » Wed Aug 15, 2012 4:25 pm

I've taken a small clip from one of my movies to put into an iPad app. Before you click to play the clip, a frame from the clip is showing on the screen. It is neither the first nor the last frame of that clip. WITHOUT using an additional piece of software, can I control what frame is used to display before the clip is clicked on by the user?

How I'm using that clip:
The iPad app is Book Creator. Really simple little app that looks like a book that you flip thru .. you can add text, photos, and video to. Doesn't do a lot, but very nice for simple display of photos & video!

Using Premiere Pro CS5

My guess is that it is the Book Creator that is controlling what frame you see. Should be a way to change the thumbnail in that App.

This software is so simple, I didn't think it would be sophisticated enough to do that. It is.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious, Chuck.

That's always been my job here, point out the obvious :exc:
90% of the time that works pretty well too \:D/

Doesn't the app have any options or preferences at all?

I just started using the software yesterday .. but I am finding it goes a little deeper than I originally thought. Although the selection was limited, and not quite what I wanted, I did have several frames to choose from.
