Audio distortion

Hi

When I add video clips (AVI) to my slideshow with a soundtrack (an MP3 track) the audio from the clip sounds distorted,I'm using Producer 4.1
Help Please !

How does the track sound if you play it in iTunes Chavakano?
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

I agree with Chuck. The MP3 may simply be overmodulated.

Open it in a program like Audacity (a free download) and watch the meters as the file plays. If they go into the red area, then your audio levels are too high.

You can use Audacity then to lower your audio to a level that won't overmodulate or distort and output it as either an MP3, WAV or AIFF file.

The audio of the video clip souds perfect when played in other media players like WMV or VLC

I will open it in Audacity or Premier and watch the levels, thanks for the tip

Guys thanks, that did it, I opend the clip in Premier ( my Audacity crashes when I open anythig other than an mp3 file ) and lowerd the volume by 3 dB reinserted to Proshow and no more distortion.
