I work on a PC and am very happy with ProShow. But my daughter works on a Mac. She has been using imovie, but would like to move up to a more advanced slideshow program. Your recommendations for slideshow programs that work on a Mac would be sincerely appreciated.

I've seen three mentioned constantly; iPhoto is supposed to do a really nice job with slideshows, maybe better than iMovie. http://www.aquafadas.com/ check out PulpMotion Advanced and http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/overview/
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory. 2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

I'm a PC person, but I have a friend who switched from PC to Mac. He tells me that the Mac platform is very limited in slideshow software. Nothing really comperable to Proshow Gold. He says FotoMagico http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/overview/ is pretty much what people are using on the Mac. That's what he's using. I don't know. Best to look around and decide for yourself.

Why not put a dual boot partition on your Mac and run ProShow? Now that Mac has switched over to Intel hardware, you can load XP or Win7 and be off to the races. No need to suffer.

Vernon, I know nothing about MAC computers, except that my daughter uses one. Has an enormous screen. She says it is top of the line. She uses Light Room a lot. I did not know that there is a way of using ProShow on a MAC. I'll discuss that partition idea with her--have her read your post. Thanks.
