Harm Millard has just posted an article on installing and setting up a 64-bit OS whose main puropse is NLE work. This was in the Adobe PrPro CS4 forum: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/436139?tstart=0
It makes good reading and is full of tips that might help someone with their first 64-bit OS installation.
