Anyone got any clues...
Encore won't open...
I am getting this error-
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore CS3\Adobe Encore.exe
This application has requested Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Happy Editing,

Beth, Any newly installed software or service updates? If it ran well yesterday, you might want to try and roll back one day and see if the problem goes away. Also could be some type of corruption which could be fixed by a reinstall. These are the basic steps to start with.

I have had more than my share of problems with Encore CS3 in the last 2 days. Finally I reinstalled the software and it is working fine again, I highly recommend a reinstall

Beth - Last week I had a runtime error for the first time with PE2. I would get the message every time I openedd the Titler and the program would freeze. I tried all kinds of things (CC Clean, defrag, PE repair, clearing the cache, etc.) and nothing corrected it. I finally ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the software. It's been working fine now.

A runtime error is a generic error message and it usually has a error number listed! Did it have a number listed with the message, Beth? If so, then you could do a search with that number Anyway, I would also go with what has been said here. I thinka re-install or repair would solve it Lee

I tried installing (repairing) withut removing old first. No luck. Next I'll try removing and then reinstalling. I just wish I knew what caused it for future avoidance.
Think the lack of removal is why the reinstall didn't solve?

The repair didn't work for me either. I really didn't want to do an uninstall because you loose your preferences and defaults but it did solve the problem. I'm not quite sure what caused the problem to begin with.
Good luck!

Could be a QuickTime update that caused the problem, there have been some issues between Quicktime and Adobe products lately. You might want to make sure that QuickTime is up to date also.
And Lee asked, if there is a number associated with the error message?

I have been having this problem too. When I open say bridge, I get a message that says some of my software is not up to date for quicktime. The computer freezes at this point. If I say cancel it goes on okay. I have updated to the latest version and it is still there. I have removed quicktime and reinstalled it and it still gives the message every time. I don't know what to do next. It is just an annoyance.
