Need similar to NIS that will work Windows Smartphone

Postby George Tyndall » Sun Aug 24, 2014 12:14 am

I've got 2 downloads remaining on my NIS account, one of which I was going to download to my Windows 8.0 Nokia Smartphone.

But the Symantec web site states that the mobile version of NIS is available only for iOS and Android devices.

1) Does anyone have suggestions for software similar to NIS but that will work on my device?

2) Also, is there anything similar to System Restore for Smartphones?

The documentation states that, if a download causes problems, simply uninstall it -- but if I download Windows 8.1 and it causes problems, it seems unlikely I could uninstall it.

3) Third question: Does anyone have experience with Adobe's free download for Windows Smartphones, Photoshop Express?

Thank you.

Re: Need similar to NIS that will work Windows Smasrtphone

Update:

Since I acquired the phone, 28 "apps" have been suggested, but I have downloaded none of them as the phone already does everything I need it to do.

Had some extra time over the weekend, so I looked at the Read Me, and the Reviews, for each of the 28 offerings.

Of all 28, only Evernote, Photoshop Express and a couple of others received enthusiastic reviews.

Many of the reviewers reported that software that they had previously downloaded and that they liked stopped working after they updated to Windows 8.1
