SOS! Display shuts down in exactly 3 minutes...

Postby George Tyndall » Mon Oct 21, 2013 9:15 pm

... despite the fact that I have all my Power options set to 'Never," i.e., for Perfornamce.

For example, when I am playing back a PREL file, in exactly every 3 minutess the screen disappears and I am asked to enter my Password.

Deleting the requirment for a Password did not help.

Suggestions please!

Have you checked your screen saver settings?

Hi Bob.

I don't see that window on my machine.

Here is what I see:

That's a different way to get there, but that's fine. In the lower right hand side of that screen, click on the "screen saver" link. That will bring up the screen saver dialog. Verify that "on resume, display logon screen" is unchecked.

If that box is checked, even though you don't specify a screen saver, it will still display the logon screen when the specified time interval is reached and interrupt your session.
