Been doing some work to put a bit of a brand together for my business. My business is not primarily a huge money making venture more of a hobby business that I'm hoping to earn a little extra cash to help pay for better software (After effects ) and a better computer Anyway Here's a logo design and a business card design that I'd like some feedback on. Appreciate any insite! TymanEffortLogo1_edited-1.png BusinessCardFront.png BusinessCardBack.png

I like it Jamal! Just takes a quick look to see what it is you do (in words and pictures). I like the way the main logo just sort of fades out to the sides.Good use of color. Nicely done! .. and it doesn't look like every other business card out there

Hi Jamal, love the logo but not too sure about the business card though. Perhaps I am just old and set in my ways... just used to them being white.

I like it, Jamal. It's very distinct.

I like the logo. However, since you asked, the camera on the business card bugs me. The camcorder looks o.k., but the camera has a bit of a halo effect around it. Was it cut out from a white background? It doesn't appear to be a feathering issue, but maybe just reflected light from a light background. I'd try it with a different picture of the camera.

That little green fringing was intentional. why... (not sure) Going to remove it. I think I've put a little too much into it overall. It's distinct but I agree with Paul.. maybe need to back it off a little bit and simplify. Thanks for the comments everyone!

Love them all especially the bus card back...the simplicity of it works. The main logo could be simplified a bit as well but there will be some people who will be impressed by the strong graphic element.
I think even taking out the orange and just laying the main logo over he taupe background would be impresive while still have a nice clean look.
Nice work.
Happy Editing,
Beth

Thanks Beth. I'm working on it right now... IT starting to look much cleaner. I decided to take the orange out as well. Kinda looked Lion King-ish... Not really what I'm going for...

Yes, I prefer the white background version. And good luck with the side business Jamal. Keep us informed how it goes.

The white background does look good. Good luck in your part time business. Who knows it might just grow into something full time. Good Luck!!!

Much more professional looking Jamal, looks great this way !! But is that the look you are going for, professional?
This version looks like I might say, 'Oh man, this guy must be really expensive ....'
The previous version said somthing more like, 'Looks like he does this for a hobby, I can probably afford him ...'
Over all I really do like the newest one the best, very nice, clean and simple, but memorable at the same time.
