Splicing Music to MPEG Audio File

Postby Ric » Sat Jan 02, 2010 4:22 pm

What I'm trying to do is cut out about 30 seconds of music in the middle of a file, which I have done. But now I need to make it a MPEG audio file is it can play into a CD player. Right now it will only play into a DVD player or computer. I need it to play for a school musical next week and I don't know what type of equipment the school has, so I thought if I make it a MPEG file I will have no problems. Any ideas?

I have been looking online and I see that there are CONVERTERS out there that can convert the VOB to MPEG or WMA etc. Does anyone know of a good one that is FREE. The ones I looked at where FREE but would only convert a percentage of the music and you had to buy it to convert the entire song. I need one that will convert the whole thing if possible. Any ideas?
