Music Forum - New

Postby Maxine370 » Wed Jul 04, 2007 9:15 am

I wanted to start a new music sharing topic (which I'll open in a new post).. much like the last one I started to help people

1. discover new music and
2. find appropriate music they may not have thought of for particular editing projects. (please note these are for personal use only as they are regular recording artists)

Please check it out and join in. I'm sure we all have a variety of tastes and ideas when it comes to music and can all help each other out when it comes to it.

My format will be as follows (and please suggest ways to improve on it)...

The Heading will be MUSIC - and then the type of video (baby, growing up, celebration for child, for adult, etc.)

I will start by listing some music ideas for the type of video. I ask everyone to suggest too.

Then I'll suggest a new artist (or old) that I've discovered. No reference to the video just a new music suggesestion. Others should feel welcome to do so as well.

Finally, I'll ask for the next type of video for a new post. So if anyone is working on a video and looking for music suggestions they can get help with the next post.

I've heard so many great songs on others videos and find the music search an important part of the whole process.
Happy Editing,

Beth

If it's baseball you almost have to use Centerfield by John Fogerty

If it's any kind of sport don't forget "The World's Greatest" - R. Kelly

I really need help with this year's video yearbook. I have so much going on and thinking isn't happening right now. To let those who don't know, my husband lost his battle with cancer on June 28 of this year.. it has been a rough road but i still need to get on with life.. I am hunting a song for our new school dedication. I was leaning towards Better Together. If anyone has a better suggestion, please feel free to help me out.. thanks..
Go out and make it a great day. The choice is yours!

So sorry for your loss, Donna.

As you know, every year I put together a video update that I send out to family and friends. Putting one together that's full of good news is easy. But, with more and more challenges in our lives, I find it very hard to share the more sober news. God bless and take care.

Hi Donna, my prayers are with you and your family.

For the school dedication song suggestions:
A Whole New World - Aladdin
Good Life - One Republic

If you are creating a year end video too, maybe a Disney themed set or an Oldies Set from the 50's or early 60's. Buddy Holly stuff, etc.
I Like to Move It - Madagascar
Panda Bear - Owl City ... has a nice tempo

Hi Donna,
Like everyone else, my family and I are praying for you.

I've been checking some similar types of slideshows online and here are some of the songs that they've used :)
Graduation Song ( Friends Forever ) - Vitamin C
True Friend - Hannah Montana
Paranoid - Jonas Brothers
All For One - High School Musical 2
Can I Have This Dance - High School Musical 3
Crash And Burn - Elise Estrada
We're All In This Together ( Graduation Remix ) - High School Musical 3
Arms Wide Open- Creed
These Are The Days- 10,000 Maniacs with Natalie Merchant

I like this one, might fit what you are looking for

Another great song is Anything by Natalie Grant, can't find a video for that one though.
