Need face paced music

Postby Doreen L. » Wed Oct 03, 2007 9:56 pm

I'm looking for something with a fast beat, maybe techno or new age, instrumental for a video of my daughter crewing on this very fast, sleek sailboat called an e scow. I'm in a power boat, so you really get the feeling of movement but I can't come up with anything. Help!

Have you ever tried searching on http://www.gracenote.com ?

In advanced search, there is a space to enter text to search for in any field in the database. Some music tracks have information about the tempo or beats per minute. I typed in 140bpm and got back a list of songs. You could enter 140 bpm (with a space between the "140" and "bpm" and that will give you all the tracks with either 140 or bpm in any field. Not all tracks have that supplemental information. I also searched for Fast Tempo and got some hits.

Their advanced search is kind of basic. I don't see a way to search for such things as "all tracks with bpm between 120 and 140."

I went looking for some software that might have more a sophisticated search of the CDDB database, but could only find ones that dealt with keeping track of your own collection for looking up artist, song, album.
