Eat recycled food. It's good for the environment and okay for you. -- From the movie, Judge Dredd.

Prechewed, recycled, I'd rather not have either.

I have something similar, but my power strip has individual switches for each of the outlets, as well as a master switch, so that I can control each one individually or all at once.

Well, am I ever glad to come here and search because I forgot I asked this question. Didn't want to start a new thread on something already discussed!

Does anybody have a good source (online or otherwise) for inexpensive camcorder batteries? I've come to the conclusion that the three (yes, three!) I have are pretty shot.

My fault, as I didn't set up an electronic reminder to charge the batteries. :(

Expensive lesson.

Thanks for any resources!

Amazon.com.

Just do a search on your camcorder model or on the model number for the battery.

Most compatible, off-brand batteries (and, yes, made in China) will work, and they cost a fraction of what the name brand batteries cost.

I know you are looking for Canon batteries, but as a warning to others:

One thing to watch for if you are looking for a replacement for Sony Infolithium Batteries: There are some out there (I forgot what brand - I'm at work and have one at home) that require you to use a pigtail to plug into the external power jack of the camera, as they will not supply power through the regular battery contacts. You also lose the ability for the camera to display battery level. :pull:

I discovered that the hard way and just put the battery in a drawer and didn't even use it.

Thank you, Steve and Peru... for answering. :)

I found SterlingTek and it seems like they have good prices and I've read good things about them. Also, free FedEx 2-day delivery with totals over $60.

We shall see. :)

Again, I appreciate both of you chiming in! :-5
